FestivalChairs at ING
ING is transitioning to a new way of working. All employees involved were recently given an onboarding programme in the Amsterdam ArenA, where they were immersed in the new way of working, the new culture and the behaviour that goes with it. The FestivalChairs were used as an important means of communication. On each stool were details of the behaviour required to make the new way of working a success. Of course, the stools were used for sitting on at the event, but can now be found in all the offices of ING Netherlands, serving as a constant reminder for employees of the new way of working.Price request

Event Republic organised the kick-off for O’Neill’s Fall/Winter 2008/2009 sales meeting. In line with O’Neill’s tough and sturdy image, Event Republic chose the Lichtfabriek in Haarlem as venue for the event. The opening reception took place in the Turbinehal, where a 15-metre long and 3-metre high wall of cardboard O’Neill festival chairs was built to create an intimate space. After the reception, this gigantic construction was spectacularly demolished and the guests were invited to take their own ‘seat’ to the Oliehuis for the presentation.
Sander de Vries and Thijs de Boer from Event Republic: “There was a fantastic atmosphere, reflecting the fantastic world-class O’Neill brand.”

“The Chairs were a great success! […] they fitted our concept perfectly. […]Everyone had to carry their chair around with them the whole day and choose their own place to sit. This proved a great way of bringing people into contact with each other, which is just what we were looking for.[…] Here too, everyone sat in a circle around the main speaker, creating a very intimate atmosphere. It made a great change from the usual distant stage… ” Antje Bosscher, AdformatiePrice request

On 11 November 2006, the ‘Mondial’ chair designed by Gerrit Th. Rietveld was presented in the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. At the time, the ‘Mondial’, designed specially for the Brussels World’s Fair in 1958, was too complicated and too expensive for mass production. However, in 2006 Gispen decided to manufacture the chair after all, to commemorate the company’s 90th anniversary.
The FestivalChairs used during this festive, historic occasion featured a beautiful print specially designed for the presentation of the ‘Mondial’.
