The FestivalChairs conference stool

Behind every FestivalChair is an award-winning Dutch design. Its unique shape is patented worldwide and in 2013 it received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, as well as the Best Marketing Tool Award in the United States. Founder Tim Várdy came up with the idea when he found himself wishing for a lightweight, foldable seat at a busy event. The FestivalChair’s impressive load capacity of up to 200 kg / 440 lbs comes from its ingenious folded construction and exceptionally strong materials, which distribute weight efficiently across the entire stool. The cardboard is FSC-certified and largely made from recycled material. All FestivalChairs are designed and produced in the Netherlands, with assembly and handling carried out in partnership with a social enterprise in Amsterdam. It is a product you can confidently associate with your conference, your organisation and your brand.

The Classic is our versatile standard size. Compact and lightweight, it fits easily into conference rooms, exhibition areas and even busy corridors. For longer presentations, lectures or extended sessions, the XL provides additional height and seating comfort. Expecting a large audience? FestivalChairs are easy to stack, move and set up, so you can prepare an entire room with extra seating in very little time. Both models support up to 200 kg / 440 lbs and can be moved effortlessly in large quantities.

Your logo on every conference stool

A FestivalChair really becomes part of your event when it carries your own design. Starting from just 20 stools, we can print your logo on the sides or create an all-over design using your conference, company or sponsor branding.
The best printing technique depends on your artwork and the number of stools required:

 

  • Full-colour litho-laminated print: premium print quality for designs featuring photography, multiple colours and fine detail.
  • Up to two-colour litho-laminated print: a clean, highly effective finish in up to two colours on white or brown cardboard.
  • Full-colour UV printing: sharp, high-quality custom printing, also suitable for smaller quantities starting from 20 stools.

Frequently asked questions about conference stools

How much weight can a FestivalChair support?

A FestivalChair can support up to 200 kg / 440 lbs. Its cleverly folded construction distributes weight across the entire structure, providing a strong and stable seat for adult guests.
Cheaper cardboard stools often have a maximum load of around 80 kg, making the FestivalChair a significantly stronger alternative.

Can conference stools be printed with our own branding?

Yes. Your FestivalChairs can be fully customised to match your event branding. Custom printing is available from just 20 stools, either in full colour or with designs in up to two colours on white or brown cardboard. This means your conference name, company branding or sponsor logo can be visible on every seat.

Are cardboard conference stools strong enough to last an entire conference day?

Yes. FestivalChairs are designed for intensive use during busy events. The multi-layer cardboard and ingenious folded construction provide excellent strength and stability throughout a full conference day. For outdoor use in wet weather, we recommend placing the stools in a covered area.

How many conference stools can I order?

Custom-printed FestivalChairs are available from 20 units, with virtually no upper limit for larger events. For orders of hundreds or thousands of stools, we can use highly cost-effective printing techniques to keep the unit price competitive. Tell us the quantity you require and we will provide a tailored quotation.

How sustainable is a FestivalChair?

FestivalChairs are 100% recyclable, largely made from recycled cardboard and manufactured from 100% FSC-certified cardboard. After your conference, guests can take their FestivalChair home as a souvenir, extra seat or side table. Alternatively, the stools can simply be folded flat, stored for another event or recycled. This helps reduce waste while extending the useful life of your event furniture.

What is the delivery time for custom-printed FestivalChairs?

Custom-printed FestivalChairs are usually delivered within two to three weeks after approval of the artwork. Standard unprinted stools in white or brown can often be delivered faster, as we usually keep them in stock. If you have a tight deadline, please let us know. Smaller quantities with full-colour UV printing can often be produced more quickly if required.
